Christina SAPPINGTON

Candidate for District 8 Councillor of the Municipality of the County of Kings

It is an honour and a privilege to put my name forward to represent the people of New Minas and Greenwich on Kings County Council. I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to a community that has given so much to me and my family.

You deserve representation on Council that is dedicated to your community, all of the time. I do not view the job of County Councillor as a side hustle: it is a full-time job that will have all of my energy and attention. I am not beholden to any interest group or issue. I believe in cooperation and finding common ground. My approach is to find consensus and build bridges to make progress on the issues that affect New Minas and Greenwich. I live in District 8; I am raising a family here; we shop here; we play here; and I will grow old here. We are invested in New Minas and Greenwich. My focus is to ensure you and your family have a voice on Council that will express your point of view and will advocate on your behalf.

Over the coming weeks I look forward to meeting with you. It’s no secret that we have a lot of work to do: growth, infrastructure, and county revenues are but a few issues we need to tackle. I am excited to hear what you think and to discover more about what matters to you. I can’t wait to get started!
